Courtney Stern is a Vice President with Capital Asset Management (“CAM”), having joined the firm in August 2020. She brings more than a decade of experience in the real estate industry, with deep expertise in portfolio management, leasing, and operational leadership. Courtney plays a critical role in driving asset performance while contributing to CAM’s organizational strategy and long-term growth.
Prior to joining CAM, Courtney built her career in downtown Chicago, where she managed large-scale Class A high-rise properties including AMA Plaza and Willis Tower. These landmark mixed-use assets included commercial office space, retail, and structured parking, requiring sophisticated operational oversight, tenant coordination, and vendor management.
In her current role, Courtney serves as a Portfolio Manager, overseeing a portfolio office and retail properties throughout Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona. She provides strategic direction and high-level oversight for each asset, while leading and mentoring on-site property management teams who are responsible for the day-to-day building operations. Courtney works closely with her teams to set performance expectations, implement best practices, and ensure consistent service delivery across the portfolio.
She is responsible for strategic management and leasing, with a focus on enhancing value, improving tenant experience, and maximizing operational efficiency. Through disciplined budgeting, vendor negotiations, and optimization of building systems, Courtney identifies opportunities to reduce operating expenses and deliver measurable cost savings for ownership, while empowering her teams to execute effectively at the property level.
In addition to her portfolio responsibilities, Courtney is a key member of CAM’s company operations leadership team, where she helps shape firmwide operational standards, policies, and scalable processes. She collaborates with executive leadership to improve internal controls, reporting, and efficiencies across the platform. Courtney also serves on CAM’s business development team, supporting new management pursuits, leasing initiatives, and client relationships that contribute to CAM’s continued growth and market presence.
